On January 15 (KST), the YouTube channel “First We Feast” featured “Squid Game 2” stars Lee Jung-jae and Lee Byung-hun playing a game where they asked each other questions. If they couldn’t answer, they had to eat hot wings as punishment.
Lee Jung-jae asked Lee Byung-hun, “‘Squid Game 2‘ ended with a cliffhanger, leaving fans speculating about Season 3. Can you confirm any of the fan theories?”
He went on to mention popular fan theories like “The island is a ship”, “Gi-hun is Oh Il-nam’s son” and “The Front Man is an undercover cop.” Lee Byung-hun replied, “None of these are correct.” At this, Lee Jung-jae quipped “Then eat”, and the production team agreed.
Lee Byung-hun responded with a playful counter, “Should I just spoil the final scene of Season 3 instead? I’d rather go with that choice.” Lee Jung-jae said, “If I were you, I’d just eat a spicy wing and get it over with. You might take another look at your contract?”
Lee Byung-hun jokingly revealed, “At the end of Season 3, the Front Man takes off his black mask in front of Gi-hun and says, ‘I’m your father.’” He then quickly apologized “I’m sorry”, eliciting laughter from everyone.
Taking a bite of the hot wing, Lee Byung-hun exclaimed, “This is beyond what I imagined. I usually like to lick my fingers afterwards, but this made me second guest myself.”
